Refund policy
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, with the original packaging and in the same condition that you received it in. Gift cards and sale items non-returnable. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase and a filled out return form (email us to receive one).
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item(s). We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your return.
Upon approval, we will send you an email with the refund / store credit in the original amount of your item(s) at time of purchase (excluding the original shipping costs). Refunds are always processed using the same payment method the order was placed with.
!! Please note: If the original purchase qualified for free shipping (domestic order over €80) and the return makes this less than €80, we will deduct the original shipping costs (€6.50) from your refund. Articles not eligible for return
We do not accept returns of sale items. We won't except these items and you will be responsible for the shipping costs to return the item(s) back to you.

Both national and international return shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over €80, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
*Oak Candle Co. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once the tracking information reports the package has been delivered to the address provided. Nor are we responsible for fees or custom charges related to international shipping. Please contact the shipping company used to recover any lost packages reported delivered using your tracking mail.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
